I love tennis. I love my daughter. I love tennis. I love my
daughter. Can I really miss the “Taking
Charge” Reunion to go with my tennis team to Boise, ID.? After all this is
a once in a lifetime opportunity, after having won the CO State title in early
September, our team was invited to compete for the Intermountain title in
Boise, ID.
I love tennis, I love my daughter. I love tennis. I love my
daughter. This was such an important weekend to her and the program is so
great, not to mention some of the folks attending were doing so because I asked
them.
So I asked Alex to help me decide.
“Mom, I got your covered, go play tennis”
And we won, and “Taking Charge” was awesome, and Alex did
have it covered.
I love tennis. I love my daughter. I love tennis. I love my
daughter. I can love both and still honor my daughter. We are now competing for
the National title in Palm Springs, CA at the end of October.
Awesome!! Congratulations to *both* of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it is quite unexpected!
DeleteGood for you and congratulations!! It is hard to make tough decisions and I am glad Alex had it covered. You probably came back so revived from the tennis but more from the independence of Alex!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was great to be away - and I have convinced myself that it is good for Alex to see me do things I want to do too!
DeleteWow, Alex competing in skiing and you in tennis. Tough decision, good choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was a really tough decision.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I am glad to hear that your team won the tennis matches. You should try to get your hand on some tickets to the Australian Open 2013. As a tennis lover, you should definitely try to make it out there. The matches are awesome to witness in person. Best of luck in your future matches.
