Lucy Bender - December 25, 2000 - October 8, 2009

Lucy went to sleep this morning. We were able to bring her home from the vet last night - she was on all sorts of medications, but she spent her last night at home. We were all able to say our goodbyes.

John, Tom and I took Lucy to the vet this morning for her final sleep. I sent Alex to school - I called her teacher first - thinking the distraction of school would be good for her.

We spent most of last night crying and I expect that will be the case this evening.

Lucy we will miss you. You were the best friend and dog a family could ever want.
